Conservation and Landscape Ecology

Conservation ecology focuses on preserving and managing biodiversity and natural resources, a field growing rapidly in response to the accelerating degradation of ecosystems and the global surge in species extinctions. Landscape ecology examines the causes and effects of spatial patterns in nature across various scales, recognizing that the distribution of habitats and resources significantly impacts the growth, survival, and decline of populations.
